The Department of Prosthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro, Pakistan, is one of the leading academic centres, with focus on translational research, post graduate education and training. We offer wide range of career opportunities, including masters degrees, specialized training, certificates and diplomas.
The goal of the Department of Prosthodontics is to educate undergraduate students to understand and utilize latest prosthodontics techniques, and to become skilled and competent in a particular discipline. Department is responsible for both clinical and preclinical instructions of dental students in discipline of fixed prosthodontics, removable prosthodontics, dental implants, dental auxillary utilization, dental anatomy occlusion and professional ethics. In order to achieve the above objectives, the department has well trained staff with well equipped clinics, lab to process polymeric denture base materials, ceramic and casting labs.
We offer best quality education over wide range of post graduate courses. The university offers 2 years degree program (M.sc Prosthodontics) in which students must carry out a research project and submit the thesis upon graduation. We also offer FCPS training under supervision of CPSP (College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan). We have global reputation for high quality research in our department.
