i. AIM
The certificate course aims at equipping health professions education institutes with high quality educationists who can respond to the rapidly changing educational needs of the modern world.
ii. BROAD LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE PROGRAM
The broad learning outcomes of the program are as under:
- To demonstrate teaching practices in line with evidence based adult learning principles
- To implement modern teaching strategies in their routine practice
- To design more suited and integrated curricula (together with relevant stakeholders)
- To interpret and manage student behavior in classroom
- To implement modern assessment techniques in their routine practice
- To use technology in the classroom to facilitate teaching, learning and assessment
iii. EDUCATIONAL STRATEGY
This certificate program shall employ a variety of educational strategies including:
- Distance Learning
- Interactive Contact Sessions
- Training Workshops
iv. ADMISSION CRITERIA
Only teaching faculty of recognized (PMC/PMDC) medical & dental colleges is eligible to apply for the CHPE program. The selection criteria will take into account professional designation, teaching experience, response to pre-test questionnaire and entrance interview |
