Introduction |
LUMHS Community Health FM Radio often referred as LUMHS FM 96.6 is the educational radio station of Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences (LUMHS) Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan. This station is established under the umbrella of Faculty of Community Medicine & Public Health Sciences, LUMHS. The transmission of LUMHS FM 96.6 went on-air for the very first time on Tuesday, 8th November 2016. This FM Radio Station aims to provide awareness to masses regarding health and other community related issues.
Keeping in view of the necessity of health awareness and development of community by providing preventive health care knowledge to masses, the Faculty of Community Medicine & Public Health Sciences thought to have its own FM Radio station and thus initiated the process of establishing FM radio station with the focus on both i.e. health and social sector – First in country to focus on both components all together.
The LUMHS FM 96.6 was inaugurated by HEC Chairman and Governor Sindh and is broadcasting the transmission successfully. The programs are being broadcasted to spread Health, Social & Educational awareness in the masses & provide complete information to the students, faculty members, researchers about all activities being carried out in the university. |
